The decision to suspend the strike notice comes after a “conciliation” and “considering the agreements signed” with the civil aviation administration; however, the union did not provide further details about the negotiation.
The union urged each controller to “cancel their previous declaration as soon as possible.”
The union group stated that their decision also “follows the announcements by the Prime Minister [of France, Sébastien Lecornu] that the finance bill is returning to parliamentary debate.”
The SNCTA, representing 60% of the votes within this professional category, has been calling for several weeks for a “full correction of inflation” on salaries by 2024, as well as changes in the management of the profession.
In mid-September, the union postponed the strike scheduled for the 18th, believing there was no counterpart to “materialize the claims at the ministerial level.”
