At approximately 12:20 a.m., protesters blocked the car of Socialist Party candidate for Lisbon City Council, Alexandra Leitão, forcing her to return to the Lisbon Design Museum (Mude).
The socialist downplayed the incident in comments to RTP. The station broadcasted images from inside the museum, where candidates were seen talking in small groups.
The presence of President Carlos Moedas was not confirmed on the footage; it is unclear whether he had left the building through another exit by that time.
An hour after the end of the debate, protesters continued to demonstrate with signs calling for sanctions on Israel and the resignation of Lisbon’s Mayor, Carlos Moedas.
