
“See what they have come to, I just learned a little while ago, after everything that has happened in the last few hours, that the Prime Minister had brought forward the delivery of the State Budget to tomorrow [Thursday] to divert attention from everything that is happening,” he accused.
André Ventura was speaking at an open-air rally in Vale de Cambra, in the district of Aveiro, an initiative of the campaign for the local elections on Sunday.
“It is impressive how the Government of the country is used during local election times, on the one hand to campaign with the State Budget,” he criticized.
The Chega leader stated that “every time the Prime Minister announces anything in the country on the eve of local elections, it’s not with his money, it’s with taxpayers’ money.”
“Mr. Prime Minister, don’t govern for elections, govern for the country, govern for the people, govern for the Portuguese,” he appealed.
