A source from the Central Alentejo Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command stated that the alert for the accident was issued at 11:23 PM on Friday. The young man involved was transported to Évora Hospital with severe injuries.
The PSP has confirmed that the young man has since died at that hospital.
The accident occurred on Rua Engenheiro José Barahona Núncio, commonly referred to as the Embraer road, according to the sub-regional command.
A total of 10 personnel were deployed to the scene, supported by four vehicles. These included resources from Évora’s fire department, PSP, and the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), utilizing Évora’s medical emergency and resuscitation vehicle (VMER).
