
Construction activity increased by 3.5% in August, as reported by the National Statistics Institute (INE), noting a 0.5 percentage point decline compared to July.
Similarly, civil engineering experienced a growth of 1.3% during the same month, slightly lower by 0.1 percentage points from the previous month.
In August, the employment index in the sector slowed by 0.9 percentage points, yet marked a year-on-year growth of 2.3%. Meanwhile, the salary index accelerated by 0.8 percentage points, reaching 7.8%.
