A 40-year-old man was arrested “in flagrante delicto” in Lagoa, São Miguel Island, according to the Azores Regional Command of the Public Security Police (PSP).
The evidence gathered during the investigation suggests the suspect was selling drugs to consumers and supplying “a network of other traffickers in the municipalities of Lagoa and Ponta Delgada,” specified the PSP.
The police also reported the seizure of “35 doses of heroin, seven doses of a synthetic drug, various gold items, cash, and other objects related to the crime under investigation.”
The suspect, who has “a record of several criminal offenses,” was brought before a judicial interrogation and was remanded with “the most severe coercive measure – preventive detention,” revealed the PSP in a press release.
