Tickets for both dates will be available starting from 10:00 on Friday, according to promoter Everything is New in a statement.
“So Much Has Changed” is also the title of the new album by the singer, which is scheduled for release on January 27, with the first single launching on Thursday.
The promoter describes the new album as “a celebration of a brighter and more positive sound,” marking a new chapter for MARO as she introduces full-band performances globally in 2026.
MARO, whose real name is Mariana Secca, is a Lisbon-born singer and multi-instrumentalist who attended conservatory and studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA.
She debuted her first self-titled album in 2018, spread over three volumes, compiling her compositions dating back to childhood through her completion of studies in the United States in 2017.
In a 2018 interview, upon releasing the third part of her debut album, she expressed her desire for complete creative freedom across genres, ranging from electronic music to R&B and pop. She attributed her artistic ambitions to Milton Nascimento, saying, “He’s one of the main reasons why I am singing.”
Utilizing the internet as a major platform for promotion, MARO has released numerous videos on YouTube featuring collaborations with musicians she met at Berklee. Her recordings also include remote duets with artists such as Antonio Sanchez, Eric Clapton, Mayra Andrade, Maria Gadú, Luísa Sobral, Rui Veloso, Ivan Lins, Pablo Alborán, António Zambujo, Silvia Pérez Cruz, and Dino D’Santiago.
In 2022, MARO won the Festival da Canção with the song “Saudade, Saudade,” where she performed live with four other Portuguese singers. The song represented Portugal at the 66th Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy, placing ninth as the country had in two previous editions.
Her most recent original album, “hortelã,” released in 2023, earned her the José Afonso Prize 2024. Predominantly sung in Portuguese, the album features ten guitar and voice tracks, co-produced by MARO with guitarist friends Darío Barroso and Pau Figueres.
Following her participation in Jacob Collier’s “Djesse World Tour” band, she has opened concerts for artists like Jessie J, Gipsy Kings, Charlotte Cardin, The Paper Kites, and Shawn Mendes.
