A report from the Alentejo Central Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command indicated that the alert for the accident in the Montemor-o-Novo area, Évora district, was issued at 19:45.
One of the injured was transported to Évora Hospital and the other to São José Hospital in Lisbon.
It was reported that one of the vehicles was carrying gas bottles, which did not cause any harm.
A total of 37 personnel were deployed to the scene, including firefighters, the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), Infraestruturas de Portugal, and the GNR. They were supported by 15 vehicles, including two emergency medical and resuscitation vehicles (VMER).
