
Two men were arrested in the town of Pedome, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão, on suspicion of drug trafficking, according to the National Republican Guard (GNR) in a statement released this Wednesday, October 15.
The suspects were caught following a report of a burglary inside a residence in Ronfe.
Upon arrival at the scene, the Guard conducted several operations that led to the identification and interception of the suspects.
The two individuals were found in possession of 156 doses of heroin, 36 doses of cocaine, two mobile phones, and 210 euros, leading to their immediate arrest.
Following this, two home searches were conducted, resulting in the seizure of a further 345 doses of heroin, five doses of cannabis, four doses of cocaine, and nearly 2,000 euros in cash.
The detainees have since appeared before the Vila Nova de Famalicão Judicial Court for the application of coercive measures, which have not yet been disclosed.
