The initial reaction of the Socialist Party (PS) to the municipal election projections was delivered at Largo do Rato in Lisbon by Filipe Santos Costa of the PS National Secretariat, speaking from a stage adorned in blue with the words “People of trust”.
“The PS is optimistic about the electoral prospects,” he stated, asserting that the party “is back as a major national party”.
Highlighting “very positive prospects from north to south of the country,” the national leader remarked that “first and foremost, the successes belong to each of the candidates.”
Filipe Santos Costa noted “very positive indicators across the country, including in district capitals.”
