
The projects will be developed by Associação Juvenil Transformers and Associação Antídoto, as announced in a statement by Caixa Geral de Depósitos.
The 44 winning projects, comprising 21 focused on social inclusion and solidarity, 17 on training and empowerment, and six on prevention and health care, will receive a total of one million euros.
“This initiative strengthens the social sector and consolidates Caixa’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributing to the development of a more just, cohesive, and supportive society,” stated the financial institution, noting that in its seven editions, “the Caixa Social Awards have recognized 223 social projects, corresponding to a total investment of 4.76 million euros.”
Among the awarded projects are Refood — social inclusion in Vila Real de Santo António and Castro Marim, by the organization Refood 4 Good, Digitálias, by Associação Ser Mulher, Madrilusa — Training and Integration of Young Immigrants, by Associação de Desenvolvimento Regional Integrado das Terras de Santa Maria, and Cãovívio Sénior, by Eu Cãosigo – Intervenções Assistidas por Animais.
Also selected were projects such as Horizonte Acessível – “Training that transcends distances,” by ACAPO – Associação dos Cegos e Amblíopes de Portugal, Leaders Gang by Mentes Empreendedoras, by Acessível Êxito Associação, Robótica Verde, by Associação Nacional de Professores de Informática, Estimular + ao domicílio, by Associação de Desenvolvimento da Costa Norte da Madeira, and Apoiar Quem Cuida 2.0 — Continuar a Cuidar, by Cooperativa de Apoio à Integração do Deficiente.
