
President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, promulgated the Foreigners’ Law this Thursday, October 16.
“Considering that the bill, now revised and approved by 70% of the Deputies, adequately addresses the essential constitutional doubts raised by the President of the Republic and confirmed by the Constitutional Court, the President promulgated the Assembly of the Republic’s bill that amends Law No. 23/2007, of July 4, which approves the legal regime for the entry, stay, exit, and removal of foreigners from the national territory,” according to the presidency’s website.
