Candidates for Lisbon plan to vote in the morning and spend the day with family

The nine candidates for the municipality were asked about their plans for today, with many indicating they intend to vote in the morning, attend mass, and spend the remainder of the day with family.

The PSD/CDS-PP/IL coalition candidate, Carlos Moedas, plans to vote around 11:00 AM at Liceu Pedro Nunes in Campo de Ourique and spend the “Sunday with family.” The electoral night will be hosted at a hotel in Marquês de Pombal with supporters.

Alexandra Leitão, leader of the PS/Livre/BE/PAN coalition, mentioned she will vote at 11:30 AM at Escola Secundária do Restelo.

João Ferreira from the CDU (PCP/PEV coalition) will also vote at 11:00 AM at Escola Básica Professor Lindley Cintra in Lumiar and will await election results at Vitória, the headquarters of the Communist Party, on Avenida da Liberdade.

RIR (React, Include, Recycle) candidate Luís Mendes plans to vote in the morning at Escola Básica Patrício Prazeres, have lunch with family, and follow the electoral evening in a hotel at Parque das Nações with party members.

Bruno Mascarenhas from Chega intends to vote at Pavilhão Desportivo da Lapa and spend the day “with family,” attending mass, although undecided between the 12:00 or 7:00 PM service.

Ossanda Líber, leader and candidate of New Right, will maintain election day tradition by voting at 11:30 AM at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, attending the 12:00 PM mass, and having lunch with family before meeting supporters at the party’s headquarters at 7:00 PM.

Tomaz Ponce Dentinho from PPM/PTP will not be voting as he is not registered in Lisbon and did not have time to change his registration, but plans to spend the day attending the 12:00 PM mass and dining with “extended family” in Estrela, where he will learn the results.

Volt’s lead candidate, José Almeida, will vote at Escola Básica Padre Rocha e Melo and then visit his mother outside the capital for lunch, returning to Lisbon later to follow the results.

Finally, Adelaide Ferreira from National Democratic Alternative (ADN) will vote in Cascais at Escola Secundária de Cascais and is the only candidate planning to vote in the afternoon, spending “a normal day.”
