An accident occurred near the Boavista roundabout involving a bus from the Sociedade de Transportes Coletivos do Porto (STCP) and resulting in the death of a 66-year-old pedestrian. The transport company expressed deep regret for the “tragic accident” and extended their “condolences” to the victim’s family.
STCP confirmed their collaboration with authorities to determine the details of the incident and have initiated an internal investigation.
The alert was received at 6:15 PM, prompting the deployment of 21 personnel supported by eight emergency vehicles to the scene.
Responding units included the Porto Volunteer Firefighters, the Municipal Police, the Public Security Police (PSP), and the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM).
