An accident involving a forklift that overturned has resulted in the death of a 19-year-old driver, as reported by the Territorial Command of Leiria of the GNR.
The GNR also stated that the Investigation Unit for Traffic Accidents was dispatched to the scene.
Hugo Borges, the commander of the Batalha Volunteer Firefighters in the district of Leiria, explained that the incident happened on the Bico Sacho road. Assistance was also provided to another individual at the location.
The alarm for the accident was raised at approximately 4:30 PM. According to the Leiria Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command, the response involved units from the GNR, firefighters, and the National Institute of Medical Emergency.
