
A 31-year-old man has been detained by police officers from the Velas Station, part of the Angra do Heroísmo Police Division, outside the act of committing an offense, following a detention warrant, as reported by the Regional Command of the PSP in the Azores.
The detainee has been formally charged and underwent an initial judicial interrogation. As a result, he has been banned from contacting the victims through any means and must maintain a distance of 1,000 meters from them.
Additionally, he has been subjected to a coercive measure prohibiting him from accessing the Internet, as well as using or acquiring electronic devices such as computers, phones, and tablets with Internet access, to produce or disseminate recorded or live videos containing drug and alcohol consumption or criminal acts.
The man is also prohibited from acquiring, using, or possessing any firearms or ammunition, or any other weapons of a different nature, as stated by the PSP.
“With this action, the Angra do Heroísmo Police Division aims to continue its strategy of preventing and combating crime, thereby enhancing the overall sense of security among all citizens,” the statement concluded.
