“The negotiation process between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Sea and the General Administration of Customs (GACC) of the People’s Republic of China has been concluded, aimed at establishing the necessary requirements for exporting national pears to that market,” according to a statement from the Directorate-General for Food and Veterinary (DGAV).
However, the registration of orchards and packing centers on the Phytosanitary Prevention and Control Management platform (GESFITO) will only be considered starting from the 2026 campaign.
DGAV is therefore finalizing the procedures for implementing the phytosanitary protocol.
