The Social Benefit for Inclusion (PSI) is a monthly support for people with disabilities and a degree of disability equal to or greater than 60%, aimed at promoting autonomy and social inclusion.
It consists of a base component for general expenses and a supplement to combat poverty.
Susana Filipa Lima states that it is this supplement amount that will be increased next year.
The supplement amount is calculated based on the difference between the reference amount and the household income. In 2025, the annual reference amount of the Base Component is 3,894.63 euros, and that of the Supplement is 6,779.81 euros.
The Secretary of State was speaking at a parliamentary hearing about the Government’s State Budget proposal for 2026, where the Minister of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security and the respective ministerial team were present.
The OE2026 proposal will be discussed and voted on in general between October 27 and 28. The final global vote is scheduled for November 27, following the specific debate process.
