An accident alert was issued at around 7:30 PM on the National Road 206 between Vermoim and Pousada de Saramagos in Vila Nova de Famalicão.
The Sub-regional Command of Ave reported that the accident resulted in the death of a 43-year-old man, the driver of an all-terrain vehicle, who was declared dead at the scene.
The GNR indicated that the accident involved a quad bike and a light vehicle.
Personnel from the Famalicense Firefighters, the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) of the Médio Ave Hospital Center, the Immediate Life Support ambulance (SIV) of Santo Tirso, and the GNR were dispatched to the location.
