An official from the Alto Alentejo Regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection reported that the alert for the accident on Regional Road 243, near the village of Figueira e Barros in the municipality of Avis, was received at 18:13.
The same source stated that the three individuals seriously injured are two men, approximately 50 and 61 years old, and a woman in her 60s. They were transported to Portalegre Hospital.
The three individuals with minor injuries, including a child about three years old, a woman in her mid-30s, and a man around 40 years old, were also taken to Portalegre Hospital.
A total of 28 emergency personnel from the fire departments of Avis, Fronteira, Ponte de Sor, the National Institute of Medical Emergency, and the GNR were dispatched to the scene, supported by 12 vehicles. This included the medical emergency and resuscitation vehicle (VMER) from Portalegre and an Immediate Life Support (SIV) ambulance from Ponte de Sor.
