A 54-year-old man wanted for sexual abuse of minors was apprehended on December 2 in the Parque das Nações district of Lisbon.
The individual had been sentenced by the Judicial Court of Évora to an effective prison term for the crime of sexual abuse of children, as stated in a communiqué from the Public Security Police (PSP) issued this Saturday.
The crimes date back to 2023, a year when the suspect took advantage of “the victim’s inability due to mental anomaly [and] enticed her to perform sexual acts.”
The man was currently living as a homeless person when he was located and arrested in the capital. He was subsequently taken to the Lisbon Prison to serve the three-year effective prison sentence he had been given.
This operation was conducted by the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP, through the Criminal Investigation Division.

A man was detained for possessing a knife with a 10.1-centimeter blade and a total length of 25 centimeters after refusing to pay for what he had consumed at a beverage establishment near the Oeiras train station.
