A man was arrested on Sunday after robbing a jewelry store at the Vasco da Gama Shopping Center in Lisbon.
The Metropolitan Command of the Public Security Police indicated that the “young” man entered the establishment armed with a crowbar, with which he “smashed the window.”
He then took what he could, specifically “gold objects.”
No employees or other individuals were injured.
The man left the store, with several bystanders witnessing the robbery, and was intercepted by both the shopping center’s security and officers from the Public Security Police.
He is currently detained and will appear in court on Tuesday to be informed of the appropriate preventive measures.
The alert was issued at 8:35 PM.
