“The President of the Republic offers his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and admirers of Clara Pinto Correia, deeply saddened by her untimely passing,” reads a statement on the official website of the Presidency of the Republic.
The head of state remembers Clara Pinto Correia as someone who “combined a joy for life with an intelligence and brilliance expressed in her oral and written contributions, her scientific teaching, and her communication with others.”
“She never left anyone indifferent. Hence the shared sense of absence felt by everyone at this moment,” adds the President of the Republic.
The writer Clara Pinto Correia has died at the age of 65, confirmed today by the publishing house Exclamação, which released her latest book, “Antares,” last June, without providing further details.
