Fertagus “with significant delays” due to “sudden illness” of a passenger

Train services operated by Fertagus, connecting the districts of Lisbon and Setúbal, have been experiencing significant delays since 8:00 AM today, as reported by the company.

In an official statement on its website, Fertagus cited a “sudden illness” of a passenger at Campolide station as the cause of the disruptions, resulting in “significant delays” since 8:00 AM.

As of 11:10 AM, the company noted that train services were still experiencing “significant delays.”

Fertagus currently serves 14 stations along a stretch of around 54 kilometers.

Ten stations are located on the southern bank of the Tagus River—Setúbal, Palmela, Venda do Alcaide, Pinhal Novo, Penalva, Coina, Fogueteiro, Foros de Amora, Corroios, and Pragal—while four are on the northern bank—Campolide, Sete Rios, Entrecampos, and Roma-Areeiro.
