A study by Marktest reveals that André Ventura, president of Chega and presidential candidate, received the most media exposure last month, leading with 149 news segments totaling 8 hours and 39 minutes.
Presidential candidate Luís Marques Mendes ranked second with 126 news appearances spanning 6 hours and 46 minutes. Admiral Gouveia e Melo was third, making direct appearances in 116 segments lasting 6 hours and 2 minutes.
The top 10 list of most covered figures includes other presidential candidates, such as João Cotrim Figueiredo in fifth place, followed by António José Seguro, António Felipe, and Catarina Martins.
This rankings list is only interrupted by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, in fourth place, with 144 news segments lasting 6 hours.
The remaining spots are filled by the country’s Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, and the Minister of Health, Ana Paula Martins, who prominently featured in coverage related to the National Health Service crisis.
Marktest highlights that this analysis only includes regular news services from the channels examined during November 2025, focusing on the following programs: Jornal da Tarde, TeleJornal, and Portugal em Directo (RTP1); Jornal 2 (RTP2); Primeiro Jornal and Jornal da Noite (SIC); Jornal Nacional and TVI Jornal (TVI). The assessment excludes any special programs, debates, or interviews conducted during this period, considering only the total duration of the news segments.
