Jorge Pinto stated, “André Ventura has constantly changed his position regarding the labor package. Some days ago, he said it was a mistake, today a different rhetoric, perhaps at the end of this debate he will want to join a union or become a candidate to lead CGTP. Welcome, comrade Ventura, to this fight.”
“It is important that we know what is on the table and the data. In Portugal, it is already the second country in Europe with the most precarious workers. Why do we want to bring more precarity? What I want is a different vision. If we want to introduce innovation in the economy, it should be by reinforcing conditions for workers,” he asserted.
“The AD will never be able to approve this package alone,” he stated, pointing a finger at Ventura, whom he describes as a “weather vane and shape-shifter.”
“As far as I am concerned, many more people will be unionized,” he affirmed.
