Zambujo presents new live album in April in Lisbon and Porto

The presentation concerts for António Zambujo’s 11th album are scheduled for April 11 at Coliseu do Porto and April 17 at Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon, as announced by promoter Sons em Trânsito in a statement released today.

The title of António Zambujo’s new album, whose release date has not yet been announced, is also the name of a song recorded by Brazilian musician Caetano Veloso in 1979.

“The theme of this new album is the version of ‘Oração ao Tempo’ – the first single, which will be released in January – recorded with Caetano Veloso, the author of the song,” states the promoter.

Tickets for the concerts will go on sale starting Tuesday, December 16, although there will be a pre-sale period.

According to the promoter, “from today onwards, anyone who registers here will have early access to purchase tickets for the Coliseums, allowing them to secure their seats a day before the official sales open.”

Furthermore, those who register “will have access to a pre-listening of ‘Oração ao Tempo’ before its release.”

In October 2023, António Zambujo released the album “Cidade,” written and composed by Miguel Araújo, a musician with whom he maintains a “more or less permanent” creative process, as he shared with Lusa when the album was launched.

Last year, he released the album “Prenda Minha” together with Brazilian guitarist and composer Yamandu Costa; a project in which they recorded original compositions and reinterpretations of themes by artists such as Chico Buarque, José Carlos Ary dos Santos, Ramón Ayala, and António Carlos Jobim.
