The Unidade Local de Saúde de Almada-Seixal (ULSAS) has issued a call on Facebook, stressing the urgency of increasing blood reserves to prevent compromising treatments for patients with O+ blood type. The appeal specifically targets donations from individuals with O+ and O- blood types.

Blood donations can be made at the Hospital Garcia de Orta in Almada on weekdays: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 09:00 to 15:00, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 09:00 to 19:00.
The ULSAS includes both the Hospital Garcia de Orta and the Group of Health Centers of Almada-Seixal, serving a population of 350,000 in the district of Setúbal.
