The announcement was made in Funchal by the leaders of the two parties, Miguel Albuquerque (PSD) and José Manuel Rodrigues (CDS).
“The CDS president will join the [Regional] Government,” stated Miguel Albuquerque, who has led the executive since 2015 and emerged victorious in the regional legislative elections on Sunday, adding that the proposal still needs to be presented to the representative of the Republic in Madeira.
