Up to 154,000 euros per year? These are the highest paying jobs in Portugal

The Adecco Group unveiled the 2025 Salary Guide this Tuesday, highlighting the most valued and well-paid positions in Portugal. Topping the list is the shared services sector, where the role of Head of SSC/GBS commands salaries up to €154,000 annually in Lisbon and €110,000 in Porto.

“Lisbon continues to be the center offering the highest salaries, particularly in fields such as Information Technology, Banking, and Finance, where leadership roles can reach €120,000 annually, reflecting the demand for specialized profiles with strong technical components. However, Porto is gradually catching up, spurred by the growth of shared services and technological hubs in the region,” the company noted in a statement.

Adecco indicates that in the IT sector, roles such as Cloud Engineer can earn up to €105,000 annually, and SAP Consultant salaries may reach €98,000 annually, both in Lisbon and Porto. In more technical or operational roles, such as Support Technician, salaries range from €17,000 to €35,000 per year, while a Data Analyst may earn between €21,000 and €40,000 annually.

In the Financial sector, the position of Financial Director leads with salary ranges from €50,000 to €120,000 in Lisbon and up to €105,000 in Porto. In Banking, roles such as Private Banking offer salaries between €30,000 and €70,000 in both Lisbon and Porto, while Corporate Finance roles in Lisbon can reach €90,000 annually.

“In contrast, sectors such as Retail, Hospitality, Construction, and Human Resources continue to face higher pressure on entry-level salaries, making it urgent to rethink compensation and benefits policies to ensure competitiveness and attract new generations,” the statement added.

The Adecco document compiles updated data across 14 key sectors (Finance; Banking; Human Resources; Shared Service Centre; Tax Legal; Sales & Marketing; Retail; Hospitality; Healthcare & Life Sciences; Industry; Construction; Supply Chain & Logistics; Energy; Real Estate; Information Technology), focusing on Lisbon and Porto, and also includes insights on employment trends, leadership, and digital transformation.
