The Polícia Judiciária (PJ) reported on Saturday the arrest at Lisbon Airport of two men and one woman, in separate operations, for possession of a significant quantity of cocaine, “sufficient to produce at least 68,000 individual doses.”
“Two of the suspects traveled to Lisbon from a country in South America and the other from a country in Central America, with the narcotics concealed on their bodies,” the official statement indicated.
The arrests took place as part of operations aimed at preventing and suppressing the introduction of narcotics into national territory.
The individuals, aged between 22 and 24 years, were brought before the competent judicial authority for an initial hearing, where they were remanded in custody.
