The early voting for mobility is scheduled to take place on May 11, exactly one week before the elections, allowing voters to cast their ballot at a location of their choosing within any municipality on the mainland or in the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira. Voters must identify themselves and specify the parish where they are registered.
As detailed on the official website of the National Election Commission (CNE), all voters registered in the national territory are eligible to vote early while on the move.
Those wishing to participate must express their intention between today and May 8 through the electronic platform at www.votoantecipado.pt, or alternatively, by postal mail addressed to the Electoral Administration at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Internal Administration, located at Praça do Comércio, Ala Oriental, 1149-015 LISBON.
Postal mail requests should include the following information: Full name; Date of birth; Civil identification number; Address; Chosen mobile early voting location; Telephone contact, and wherever possible, an email address.
If a voter registers for early voting while on the go but is unable to vote, they may still cast their vote on the election day itself, May 18, at their registered polling station or section.
More than 10.8 million voters residing both domestically and abroad are entitled to vote in the early legislative elections on May 18.
