
An official from the Electoral Administration of SGMAI reported that as of 8:00 AM today, a total of 241,138 voters have registered for early voting in mobility. The regions with the highest number of registrants are Lisbon with 72,904, followed by Porto with 39,220, and Setúbal with 20,843.
The registration for early voting in the upcoming legislative elections on May 18 began on Sunday and will conclude on Thursday. This registration is available only to voters registered in Portugal.
Voters can express their intent to vote early by electronic means through the website www.votoantecipado.pt or via mail addressed to the Electoral Administration of the Secretariat-General of the Ministry of Internal Administration, located at Praça do Comércio, Ala Oriental, 1149-015 LISBOA.
Mail requests must include the following details: Full name; Date of birth; Civil identification number; Address; Location of the early voting mobility polling station where they wish to vote; Telephone contact and, whenever possible, an email address.
Early voting in mobility is scheduled for Sunday, one week prior to the elections. Voters can select any municipality on the mainland or in the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira. They must identify themselves and indicate the parish where they are registered.
If a voter registers for early voting in mobility but is unable to vote at that time, they can still vote on election day at the polling location where they are registered.
More than 10.8 million voters residing nationally and abroad are eligible to vote in the early legislative elections on May 18.
