Salvador Sobral, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, performed the song ‘Deslocado’ by NAPA, Portugal’s representatives for this year’s event, on the streets of Uzbekistan.
“Salvador Sobral singing Deslocado on the streets of Uzbekistan. Thank you, Salvador,” the band wrote on Instagram.
In the released video, Salvador Sobral can be seen (and heard) singing the lyrics “Por mais que possa parecer/eu nunca vou pertencer àquela cidade/o mar de gente, o sol diferente, o monte de betão/não me provoca nada/não me convoca casa,” alongside musician André Santos.
Salvador Sobral, who triumphed at Eurovision in 2017 with ‘Amar Pelos Dois’ in Kyiv, Ukraine, recently participated in the International Jazz Festival in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
NAPA were chosen to represent Portugal this year with ‘Deslocado’ after winning the Festival da Canção on March 8.
The Portuguese act will take the stage in the first semifinal next Tuesday, performing in the seventh position between Sweden, a major favorite in the betting stakes, and Norway.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will take place from May 13 to 17 in Basel, Switzerland, following Nemo’s victory with ‘The Code’ in last year’s edition.
