Campaign enters the final week today with AD and PS crossing paths in Espinho

On the ninth day of the campaign for the upcoming Sunday legislative elections, the president of the PSD will arrive at the Espinho fair at 10:30 AM. Following his visit, he will proceed to Chaves to engage with the local populace and wrap up the day with a rally in Vila Real.

The secretary-general of the PS plans to visit the Espinho fair as well but will arrive thirty minutes earlier than Luís Montenegro. Pedro Nuno Santos is scheduled for a lunch event in Figueira da Foz, followed by activities in Coimbra, where he will meet with the public at 5:30 PM and host a rally at 7:00 PM.

In the north, the PAN spokesperson, Inês Sousa Real, will start her day in Braga, also visit the Espinho fair, and conclude in Coimbra.

The CDU team, led by the PCP’s secretary-general Paulo Raimundo, will focus on Lisbon and Almada. Activities include a morning visit to the António Arroio Art School and interactions with healthcare professionals at Gare do Oriente. In the afternoon, Raimundo will meet with cultural professionals and the public in Almada, finishing the day with a rally in Alpiarça (Santarém).

The spokesperson for Livre, Rui Tavares, will be in Lisbon, boarding a bus from Pontinha to Arco do Cego at 8:00 AM to present proposals concerning BUS corridors. He will then head to Seixal (Setúbal) for a 4:00 PM visit to the Gatos do Bairro refuge.

Rui Rocha, leader of the Iniciativa Liberal, is campaigning in the Faro district today. His itinerary includes a visit to an algae biotechnology company in Olhão and a dinner rally in Albufeira.

The Bloco de Esquerda’s presence in the Algarve includes a 10:00 AM meeting with residents fighting for housing rights in Loulé, followed by a 4:00 PM visit to Peniche’s memorial dedicated to political prisoners and antifascist resistance.

The president of Chega is also in the Algarve, hosting a walkabout at 5:00 PM in Portimão after stopping by Évora in the morning.

The snap elections have drawn 21 political entities, including AD (PSD/CDS-PP), PS, Chega, IL, BE, CDU (PCP/PEV), Livre, PAN, ADN, RIR, JPP, PCTP/MRPP, Nova Direita, Volt Portugal, Ergue-te, Nós, Cidadãos!, PPM, and PLS. Additionally, MPT, PTP, and PSD/CDS/PPM have listed candidates solely in one or both autonomous regions.
