“The challenge is ambitious and exciting, as all those presented throughout Trovante’s rich journey: to experience everything in one night, a theme elevated from a verse in ‘Memórias de Um Beijo’, one of the many songs by the group that quickly entered anthologies. In fact, there will be two nights — March 21, 2026, at Lisbon’s MEO Arena, and March 28, 2026, at Porto’s Super Bock Arena,” reads a statement released today.
The band, founded in 1976, disbanded in 1990, the year of their last original album, “Um Destes Dias,” but has reunited several times since. One of the most recent reunions was at the O Sol da Caparica festival in 2017.
According to Sons em Trânsito, “for Luís Represas, João Gil, Manuel Faria, Artur Costa, Fernando Júdice, António José Martins, José Salgueiro, and João Nuno Represas, all of whom have solid and notable careers either solo or in other projects, this is a natural — and desired — reactivation of a unique joint proposal that has always been missed, even if only in anticipation of the future.”
Trovante is responsible for hits such as ‘Namoro II’, ‘125 azul’, ‘Perdidamente’, ‘Timor’, ‘Saudade’, ‘Balada das sete saias’, and ‘Fizeram os dias assim’.
The group’s history is documented in the book ‘Trovante – Por Detrás do Palco’, authored by Manuel Faria and published in 2003.
Tickets for the March 2026 shows are already on sale, with prices ranging from 25 to 80 euros.
