On the penultimate day of the campaign, at a luncheon in Paços de Ferreira attended by nearly a thousand people, Pedro Nuno Santos renewed his appeal for a strategic vote in favor of the Socialist Party (PS), directly addressing the undecided voters.
“We have three days to rally the Portuguese, to tell those who believe in the PS not to miss the chance to vote. To urge the undecided to consider whether to reward those who led us into elections,” he advocated.
The PS leader did not overlook the appeal for a strategic vote on the left.
“And to those who support smaller parties that fail to elect deputies, please do us the favor of voting for the PS. Give us the victory that will allow us to defeat the AD and offer the country a progressive government. A government for everyone,” he urged.
Pedro Nuno Santos emphasized the importance of speaking to undecided voters in the final days of the campaign.
“There is a question these individuals must ask themselves, which everyone must ask themselves. Does someone who called elections just because they felt pressure deserve to be re-elected?” he inquired, referring to the Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro.
The PS leader’s question is, “Does someone who chose elections over providing explanations deserve re-election?”
“Does someone who mixed private business with politics deserve re-election? Does someone who led us all into these elections deserve re-election?” he questioned, reiterating the notion that Montenegro cannot guarantee stability because he is “the one who brought instability” and “elections that nobody wanted.”
Pedro Nuno Santos believes that “this is the person who will also face defeat on Sunday.”
