Decathlon gives more vacation to employees. They can “enjoy up to 30 days”

Decathlon has announced a “new benefit” allowing its employees to increase their vacation time and “enjoy up to 30 days of annual rest.” This initiative coincides with the brand’s 25th anniversary in Portugal, as stated in a press release.

The statement highlights Decathlon’s commitment to enhancing employee well-being and valuing its teams through extended parental support aimed at improving work-life balance.

The company is implementing a “more personalized and closer support” system. This involves “individualized plans” where each employee will be supported at every stage of parental leave. The plans include preparation for departure, where the employee can participate in selecting, recruiting, and integrating their replacement, and their return with adjusted schedules and adapted conditions.

In addition to these measures, there’s the “+Well-Being program,” which offers “specialized parental support, including counseling sessions” (covering psychological aspects, leaves, fears, among others) before, during, and after parental leave for employees and their managers, to prepare for the employee’s absence and reintegration.

Further benefits include an “exclusive discount club,” an incentive for sports activities, a hybrid working model, sharing of annual financial results, and the opportunity for employees to become company shareholders—all aimed at ensuring the happiness of both employees and their families.
