The weekend weather will see a brief spell of sunshine as dry conditions are forecast for Saturday, but rain is expected to return to mainland Portugal on Sunday. The weather is predicted to improve throughout the following week, with rising temperatures, as reported by the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
IPMA predicts that Saturday will be warm and dry across the mainland, with maximum temperatures ranging from 24°C to 32°C. On Sunday and Monday, showers and thunderstorms are anticipated, particularly in the North and Center regions, leading to a decrease in maximum temperatures, which are expected to range between 17°C and 26°C on Monday.
Temperatures are set to rise again on Tuesday, remaining stable without significant changes for the rest of the week. Minimum temperatures will range from 6°C to 15°C, with cooler readings in the interior North and Center, while maximum temperatures will vary from 20°C to 32°C, peaking in the Baixo Alentejo and Algarve regions.
Starting Tuesday, IPMA notes, there is a low likelihood of precipitation, with a probability of less than 20% in the North and Center from Thursday to Saturday.
