
A report from the Sub-Regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection in the Setúbal Peninsula stated that the accident alert was issued at 3:51 PM. It was confirmed that both fatalities were declared at the scene.
The motorcyclists were the drivers and sole occupants of their vehicles, according to the National Republican Guard (GNR).
The accident occurred on the road connecting Pinhal Novo to Rio Frio, as outlined by the authorities.
A total of 21 personnel were deployed to the accident site, supported by eight vehicles. These included responders from the Pinhal Novo fire department, the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), and the GNR, with medical emergency and resuscitation vehicles (VMER) dispatched from Barreiro and Setúbal.
