The weather is expected to change by Sunday, although Saturday saw high temperatures nationwide. The highest temperature recorded was 32.2 degrees Celsius, reported at both Coruche and Alvega weather stations, as per data from the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
Data reflects elevated maxima across various locations, with several places exceeding 30 degrees Celsius.
The five locations with the highest temperatures on the same day include Alcácer do Sal, Barrosinha, measuring 32.1 degrees, followed by Amareleja at 31.2 degrees, and Mora at 30.9 degrees.

According to the IPMA, showers and thunderstorms are expected on Sunday and Monday, particularly in the northern and central regions. There will be a decrease in maximum temperatures, ranging from 17 to 26 degrees Celsius on Monday.
Temperatures are forecasted to rise again on Tuesday, stabilizing without significant changes through the week’s end. Minimum temperatures will vary between 6 and 15 degrees Celsius, with the lowest figures in the northern and central interior. Maximum temperatures will range from 20 to 32 degrees Celsius, with higher values in Baixo Alentejo and Algarve.
The likelihood of precipitation decreases from Tuesday onward, with less than a 20% chance of rain in the north and central areas between Thursday and Saturday, as highlighted by the IPMA.
