Actor Ed Gale, renowned for his role as ‘Chucky’ in ‘Child’s Play’ (1988), passed away on Tuesday at the age of 61 in a psychiatric hospital in Los Angeles, USA. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
The news of his passing was confirmed by Gale’s niece, Kayse Gale, who paid tribute to her “funny uncle” on social media.
“He took his final bow and now holds the main attraction in the afterlife,” she wrote.
In 2023, Ed Gale was investigated by US authorities for exchanging sexually explicit messages with a person he believed to be underage. He was caught by a group dedicated to identifying and exposing pedophiles on social media, who posed as a 14-year-old.
After being confronted, Gale admitted to sending the sexual messages and confessed to having similar conversations with other teenagers. Authorities were alerted, but the actor was not taken into custody.
