Management of momentum and skills (51.8%), artificial intelligence and automation (47%), and technology and digital transformation (36.9%) are strategic topics considered most relevant by managers, set to shape the future of companies and organizations.
Topics like diversity, equity, and inclusion are less frequently mentioned.
The conclusions are from a survey of 168 professionals from various companies participating in this study, which will support the QSP Summit conference scheduled for early July in Porto and Matosinhos.
Pedro Carneiro, head of the research and marketing department of QSP, stated in a note to Lusa news agency, that “in a world where technology plays an increasingly prominent role, the focus should remain on people.”
“It is in this balance between technological innovation and human development that, to a large extent, the sustainability of organizations in the near future is played out,” he added.
This assessment aligns with the survey’s conclusions, which indicate that the three major challenges companies face in people management are related to motivation and well-being (31%), employee retention (24.4%), and skills development (18.5%).
On the topic of technology and digital space, most professionals (53.6%) consider their company to have a moderately adaptable strategy for rapid changes, with only 10.7% claiming to have a “highly adaptable” strategy.
The professionals participating in this survey were mainly company presidents (36.3%), department heads (23.8%), and middle management (13.7%).
This year’s QSP Summit begins on July 1st at the Palácio da Bolsa, featuring António Lobo Xavier, who will discuss the relationship between ethics and business.
It continues on July 2nd and 3rd at Exponor in Matosinhos, with “more than 3,500 expected daily participants,” according to the organization’s estimates.
