
Net investment in savings certificates increased by 475 million euros in May compared to April, when subscriptions totaled 541 million euros, indicating a slowdown.
May marked the eighth consecutive month of increase in the overall value of savings certificates, as the interest rate for Series F (the only series currently available) has dropped from its peak of 2.5%.
In May, the gross interest rate for new subscriptions of Savings Certificates, Series F, was set at 2.216%.
In June, reflecting the decline in the three-month Euribor, the gross interest rate for new Series F subscriptions decreased again to 2.070%.
The amount invested in treasury certificates continued its downward trend that began at the end of 2021, falling to 8.972 billion euros in May, down about 172 million euros net from April.
