However, the euro fell against the pound and the yen.

Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian stated today that Tehran will respect the ceasefire with Tel Aviv as long as Israel also respects its terms.

“If the Zionist regime does not violate the ceasefire, Iran will not violate it either,” Pezeshkian said in a phone conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, according to the Iranian Presidency portal.

The Israeli Prime Minister had already confirmed today bombings on Iran following the ceasefire as retaliation for Iran’s launch of several missiles, and no “additional attacks” after the conversation with the American President.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s justification was disclosed in a statement issued after Donald Trump had been very critical of previous Israeli actions.

Israel and Iran accepted a ceasefire plan proposed by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to end the 12-day war that shook the Middle East after Tehran attacked the Al-Udeid base in Qatar, one of the main U.S. military facilities in the Middle East.

Tel Aviv and Tehran accused each other of violating the truce.

The war between Israel and Iran was triggered in mid-June by Israeli bombings on Iranian territory, leading to Tehran’s retaliation.
