
The Para Sempre Marco project is scheduled for presentation on August 8, followed by a concert featuring singer Miguel Gameiro and the band Polo Norte on August 9, and Van Zee on August 10.
The 40th Festival of Portuguese Wine and the 30th National Rocha Pear Fair continues with performances by Carolina Deslandes on August 11 and Quim Barreiros the following day.
In addition to concerts, the event includes several dozen exhibitors, some linked to the wine sector, others to Rocha pear, and the rest to various other activities.
The program also features wine tastings, local eateries, and showcookings with indigenous products from the municipality.
The Portuguese Wine Festival is the country’s oldest wine event, initiated in the 1960s under the name 1st Festival – Exhibition of Portuguese Wine.
The festival was held intermittently until 1993, after which it became an annual event, with a two-year hiatus due to covid-19 containment measures.
The National Rocha Pear Fair has been organized since 1996 to promote the agricultural sector and regional products.
