The findings from a survey conducted by the Association of Civil Construction and Public Works Industries (AICCOPN) among companies operating in the urban rehabilitation segment for May 2025 indicate a recovery in the main qualitative indicators, according to a press release.
The contracted production, an indicator estimating the average duration of work secured by companies at a normal execution pace, increased to 11.7 months compared to 8.9 months recorded in May 2024.
Regarding municipal licensing for urban rehabilitation works, 2,263 licenses were issued by April, marking an 11.9% growth from the same period the previous year.
AICCOPN stated this result is mainly due to an increase in licenses for residential buildings (+20.2%, totaling 1,347), while non-residential buildings accounted for 916 licenses (+1.5%).
The association emphasized that these licensing figures pertain only to interventions subject to prior municipal control, not reflecting the entirety of urban rehabilitation activity.
