Seventy-five percent of attendees at the Socialist Party’s National Commission meeting in Lisbon today voted in favor of the list proposed by José Luís Carneiro, with 97 supporting, 20 opposing (15%), and 13 abstaining (10%).
New additions to the Secretariat include MEPs Ana Catarina Mendes and Francisco Assis, former deputy Sérgio Sousa Pinto, Almada Mayor Inês de Medeiros, former government official André Moz Caldas, former deputy Maria Antónia Almeida Santos, and former Secretary of State Jamila Madeira.
From the previous leadership team under former leader Pedro Nuno Santos, only Marcos Perestrello, João Torres, and Pedro Coimbra remain.
