
The PSI index dropped by 0.57% to 7,732.97 points, with nine out of the 15 listed companies in the red and the rest showing gains.
Leading the declines was the EDP group, with subsidiary EDP Renováveis falling 2.67% to €10.21 and parent company EDP dropping 1.79% to €3.78.
Other significant losses included Corticeira Amorim, which fell 1.35% to €8.04, and Altri, which decreased by 1.10% to €4.93.
On the positive side, CTT shares increased by 3.46% to €7.77, Mota-Engil rose by 2.56% to €4, while BCP fell by 0.24% to €0.67.
Across Europe, there were generally gains, with Paris up 0.35%, Frankfurt rising 1.20%, and Madrid increasing by 0.73%.
This week, the focus is on trade tensions, as the United States has begun sending letters to countries without trade agreements, informing them about tariffs to be imposed starting August 1.
This follows months of pressure and readjustments resulting in agreements with the United Kingdom, Vietnam, and China.
Meanwhile, the European Union, Japan, South Korea, and India are working to expedite their negotiations.
