The Wombats confirmed at NOS Alive. Festival kicks off tomorrow.

The band The Wombats is the latest addition to the NOS Alive lineup, stepping in for British artist Sam Fender, who canceled his appearance just days before the festival’s start.

The Liverpool-based band will take the main stage at NOS on June 11 to showcase their newest album, ‘Oh! The Ocean’.

This new album from the trio, marking “a new era,” is described as “bolder and more sonically sophisticated,” offering “an escape from the everyday with compositions of great significance in a time of uncertainty.”

The British group explores a range of sounds, from “shimmering tech rock to sci-fi pop, futuristic fuzz rock to blues-infused rock’n’roll, with touches of disco and hip-hop influences.”

On July 11, the festival will feature performances by Girl in Red, Justice, Finneas, among other artists.

NOS Alive, held at Passeio Marítimo de Algés in Lisbon, kicks off tomorrow, Thursday, July 10, and concludes on Saturday, July 12.
